Configuring 4-channel lock
4-Channel Lock is a special feature used for 4-channel wireless
surround sound applications (for example if you are using
Rocketboost for wireless rear and side surround sound in a 7.1 home
theater system).
The 4-Channel Lock switch is on the back of the wireless sender. When
the switch is set to ENABLE, the volume level from both INPUT A and B
on the wireless sender will be synchronized, allowing 7.1 systems to
optimize speaker volume levels.
Set the 4-Channel Lock switch to DISABLE to allow separate control of the
volume levels for Inputs A and B.
To configure 4-channel lock for wireless rear and side surround sound (7.1 home
theater):
1 Turn on your home theater system and play a source or test tones so you
can hear audio from the rear and side surround speakers. Press the
SOURCE button on each wireless receiver until you hear the surround
sound audio for those channels. Note that when you press the SOURCE
button, the wireless sender that is transmitting briefly flashes it's source
indicator so you can see which source is being received at the wireless
receiver.
2 When both wireless receivers are receiving the correct surround sound
source, do the following:
Turn off the wireless sender.
•Switch the 4-Channel Lock switch to ENABLE.
Turn on the wireless sender.
After doing so your system (wireless sender and two wireless receivers)
will be in 4-channel lock mode).
Notes:
When your wireless sender and two wireless receivers are in 4-Channel Lock mode,
other wireless receivers in your Rocketboost network cannot select the 4 channels
from the wireless sender. This is by design, as most people would not want to listen to
surround sound audio sources in other rooms besides the home theater.
